GoPro released its new action cam-- GoPro HERO9.
At present, HERO9 is the strongest version of the GoPro HERO series. The new GoPro Hero9 Black has more of that gimbal-like stabilization inside the camera. Its updated video features include HyperSmooth 3.0, which provides even more stability with in-camera horizon leveling that supports up to +/-45% tilt.
The HERO9 records stunning 5K30 video and 20MP still photos using an enormous 23.6MP sensor packed into its tiny form. It features a front-facing color display to complement its larger touch screen in the back.
It has an ultra-wide detachable lens option (Max Lens Mod). If you break or smash the lens, you can choose to replace the lens instead of the whole camera.
The GoPro Hero9 Black battery is physically larger, enabling an improvement in battery life of 30 percent on average, as well as more processing power and better cold weather performance.
GoPro Hero9 Black continues a legacy of rugged, performance sports cameras in a familiar shape. The camera is still super durable and waterproof up to 33' without an external housing, and there are numerous accessories.
The Hero9 is available now for $449, or $349 with a one-year GoPro Plus subscription, which includes unlimited cloud storage, discounts on replacement parts and mounts, and a replacement plan in case you do manage to break it.
