The Fujifilm company has officially launched its medium-format, mirrorless camera-- GFX100 in India. Earlier this May, Fujifilm said that this is the world's first medium-format model that offers a back-illuminated sensor with phase detection pixels, in-body image stabilization (IBIS) mechanism and 4K/30P video recording capability. The camera is available in India for Rs. 7,86,999. The GFX 100 has a full-sized body and weighing in at roughly 1.36kg which is quite light. When you switch shooting orientations, you get a secondary shutter button and dial on the bottom right corner. The controls at the back look very similar to those on the Fujifilm X-T3 as there's a similar, dual-hinged 3.2-inch touchscreen with a 2.36 million dot resolution. There's a removable OLED EVF, with a high 5.76-million dot resolution. The Fujifilm GFX 100 body is also dust and weather resistant and is built using a magnesium alloy. The dials for shutter speed and ISO have been swapped for a LCD display, which shows you the appropriate dials based on the shooting mode you're in. The GFX 100 has a brand-new 102-megapixel BSI CMOS sensor and is powered by Fujifilm's X-Processor 4 image processor. This medium-format model while still having PDAF and 5-axis in-body stabilization. 4K video shooting is also supported, up to 30fps, or you can output 10-bit 4:2:2 uncompressed footage over HDMI. Other features include an ISO range of 100-12,800, support for 16-bit RAW files, a Type-C USB port, and two SD card slots with support for up to UHS-II speeds. Fujifilm also launched its new Premista series of cinema zoom lenses alongside the GFX100. These lenses support large-format sensors and deliver high resolution, bokeh and rich gradation with HDR. Following the release of the newest full-frame camera α7R IV, Sony has continued to update its portable camera RX100 VII. It maintains its body design and also equipped with the ZEISS® Vario-Sonnar T* 24–200 mm F2.8-4.5 zoom lens. It now pairs it with a new 20.1-megapixel stacked CMOS image sensor and improved buffering allowing users to capture up to 20 full-frame stills per second without viewfinder blackout so it’s easier to keep a moving subject framed. The latest RX100 has also been updated with Sony’s recent autofocus improvements. The VII now uses 357 tracking and autofocus points, compared to 315 with the VI, and it can lock onto a subject in just 0.02 seconds which is a full 0.01 second faster than its predecessor. Sony also claims the RX100 VII is the first time the company’s real-time autofocus tracking is being implemented in a compact camera, automatically focusing on the eyes of human or animal subjects. In addition, the RX100 VII supports 3.5mm microphone input and improvements made to both digital and optical image stabilization while capturing 4K video at 30 frames per second, 120 frames per second at 1080P, or up to 960 frames per second with the video resolution dropped considerably lower than HD. It also adds real-time tracking and eye autofocus while recording video, which will be especially useful with an external mic that won’t capture the sounds of the camera’s internals in the process. Rounding out the improvements is a built-in software intervalometer for capturing timelapse photography without the need for purchasing and downloading a separate app to the camera, as well as a new shooting grip kit targeted at vloggers. The Sony RX100 VII will ship sometime in August for $1,200 and the Shooting Grip Kit includes the camera and the VCT-SGR1, is expected to be launched later this year. Sale at $1,300. The motors support around 4.5 lbs of weight from the payload with a battery lasting around 11 hours. Some of the most useful features are the three-axis lock for travel and ability to use Intelligent Modes. Of course, while improving the lightness of the equipment, the performance inevitably has to pay some price. Compared with Ronin S, which has a durability of 12 hours, Ronin SC is slightly worse for the maximum durability of 11 hours. However, the new design has brought more excellent balance. SONY has announced its new full-frame Mirrorless Camera a7R IV. With a world's first 61MP full-frame back-illuminated sensor, the a7R IV sits at the top of the market. It has15-stop dynamic range and up to 32,000 ISO and can shoot up to 240MP images because the BIONZ X processing which ensures outstanding quality and sharpness while enhanced Pixel Shift Multi Shooting. Equipped with 567 phase-detect AF points and the latest Real-time Tracking and Real-time Eye AF technologies, the A7R IV can still achieve 10fps high-speed continuous shooting in autofocus tracking mode (68 shots in a single shot). Real-time AF is now available in video as well. Sony has upgraded buttons and dials along with a new 5.76m-dot EVF and redesigned grip make the a7R IV the most comfortable and ergonomic a7 series camera yet. Improved over the previous generation, the a7R IV’s UHD 4K video is maximized in an APS-C/Super35 mode where it downsamples from 6K to create a sharp 4K image.
