Panasonic has launched the Lumix BGH1, which used the definition of “box-style mirrorless cinema and live event camera.”. Lumix BGH1, carries a Micro Four Thirds sensor and has a cube-like design, almost completely covers one of the edges of the lens holder.
The BGH1 is versatility, expandability and ease of installation. It can be used in multi-camera situations involving drones, live streaming, and other complex setups, in Panasonic's opinion. The camera gets the power via Ethernet, which means it can be powered with the same cable connected to the internet. With the Lumix Tether for Multicam application, up to 12 BGH1 cameras can be controlled at once.
The camera has a sensor of 10.2 megapixels for 4K video recording. It can shoot video at 4:2:0 10-bit C4K/4K 60p or 4:2:2 10-bit All-I C4k/4K 30p. Users can also record in Hybrid Log Gamma format for broadcast HDR.
The BGH1 features dual UHS-II SD card slots, USB-C 3.1, HDMI output (up to 4K 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p), 3G-SDI, a 3.5mm in/out jack, WiFi and Bluetooth. Uncompressed anamorphic image transfer via Ethernet, SDI or USB-C are also among the features of the BGH1. Panasonic also releases a free SDK which can be used to create camera control tools that work with USB.
The Panasonic Lumix BGH1 price at $ 1999.99 and goes on sale in December.
